CLUB AGM This was held on Friday December 4th. With nothing in special business it was a short meeting. Paul Hegarty was voted in as Club Captain with Graham Bowers as his vice Captain. The Ladies Captain was confirme as Kath Brown with Liz Clark as her vice Captain. Thanks were said to David Frost who has been director for 9 years and fortunately he is to continue as Hon. Treasurer. Peter Hipey finished his term of office as director for 3 years and chairman for 2 years. The new directors are Bob Morris and Dennis Mason. Mick Clark has been co-opted onto the board for 1 year to fill the vacant position.

CAPTAINS The new Captain's charity is Great Ormond Street Hospital. No ponds or bunkers as fines but the first parking spot beside the clubhouse will cost you £2:00 a time.

Change to Ladies Course This has now been confirmed and the Ladies will play the 9th hole as a par 5 at 401yds.

Active Inactive Handicaps From January 2010 handicap certificates will be marked INACTIVE if you have not played 3 qualifying competitions during this current season. This applies to both Ladies and Men.

Central Database of Handicaps Every playing member has a Lifetime ID for the Central database. This can be found on your membership details or swiping your card on the PIS and looking on the new handicap section. This will be used by Clubs, Counties and Regions to look at playing handicaps and enter AWAY scores. You may register as member of the English Golf Union with this Lifetime ID.

GREENS NEWS
Despite all the bad weather of snow and rain the course has remained very playable. Trollies have been allowed and on many days buggies. Over the winter there has been much work on the course: building and redoing paths, aerating fairways, greens and the continued filling in of drainage ditches.

PRACTICE NETS The board has agreed to the installation of practice nets close to the first tee and putting area. This project has been funded by donations and past Captain's funds.
