Welcome to the Burnham-on-Crouch Golf Club Cadet section. 

Competitions

The Cadet section hosts over 20 qualifying competitions from March through to November for all members with an eligible club handicap. In addition to this are the sponsored “Birdie Bowl” and “Golfer of the Year” awards.

The club also participates in the County Youth Shield inter-club competition aswell as sponsoring participation of our cadets in other County and Regional competitions such as the Faldo Wedge, EssexBoys Foursomes, and the Andalucia and Abu Dhabi Junior Open qualifiers.

Burnham Golf Club hosts a Cadet Day during the August school holidays where all members and non members alike are welcome to attend. Holders of official club handicaps contest for the James Elphinstone 36 hole trophy, whilst other members and non-members alike play a 18 hole fun competition with lots of prizes available.

Details and entry forms are also provided for all Junior Open competitions across Essex and the surrounding Counties.

Playing Restrictions

Cadets are able to play the course at the following times:

Weekdays Anytime
Saturdays & Sundays After 12:00pm
Bank Holidays After 1:00pm BST & After 12:00pm GMT

Cadet members with a single figure handicap may play at anytime on weekends provided they play with an adult member.

Cadets who have category 1 or 2 handicaps are permitted to enter Mens and Ladies monthly and midweek medals/stablefordsbut can only do so when playing with an adult member and when there are no Cadet competitions on the same day.                                               

Eligibility

Cadet eligibility are those persons that are under 18 years of age as of 1st January of the club membership year April to April.
